This mid volume, low pressure hydrostatic pump is designed for testing lines of smaller diameter. The RP-3C is a must-have for plumbing and landscape contractors. This hydrostatic pump includes a polypropylene roller pump for exceptionally smooth test results. Because there are virtually no external moving parts, this pump offers increased user safety and reduced risk liability. Hydrostatic pumps work by filling your vessel or piping with highly pressurized/non-explosive liquid (usually water). Tests are usually run at pressures far higher than normal operating pressures for the particular vessel or pipe. Simply hook this pump up to your closed vessel or piping and check for leaks or distortions.

Rice Hydro:

In 1976, Allen Rice, a Harvard graduate, formed RICE Hydro—the first and foremost company to tackle the challenges of hydrostatic testing pumps. Mr. Rice had served for many years in the water municipality industry in California, and upon retiring set out to create a series of reliable products able to make the precise measurements that contractors need on the job. What he created truly revolutionized the contracting industry—the first hydrostatic test system. Right away, with his in-depth knowledge of pump mechanics, physics, and hydrostatic systems, Mr. Rice was able to create products which allowed for precision, reliability and rapid results with easy operation. It was his dedication to customer satisfaction that laid the foundation for RICE Hydro, which would soon become world renowned for their outstanding high-quality products.
Today RICE Hydro is still the industry leader in hydrostatic test pumps, specializing in everything from the testing of sewers, to sprinkler systems, to fire hoses. RICE Hydro has also developed the DirtDawg—a one-man hydraulic towable post-hole digger. Ever evolving, RICE Hydro promises to be an industry leader for years to come. But no matter how much success befalls them, RICE Hydro will always put forth the same outstanding level of customer-dedication, which all stems from one man’s desire to make life just a little better for his fellow working man.
